Costume Rules
Bun Grad – Beginners
All dancers in Novice and Bun Grad (Beginners) may only wear a team costume or skirt and top/leotard.
No wigs permitted in Novice or Bun Grad.
Tus Grad
Solo costumes and wigs are permitted.
Make Up and Leg Tan Rules
Make up is not permitted in first two grade: Bun Grad and Tus Grad (Primary) up to and including the age group under 12. Leg tan is considered make up.
Over Toe Rule
Dancers eleven years and under on the 1st of January each year cannot do over toe work for that full calendar year.
Grades
All dancers start at Novice level then in time may move on through Bun, Tus, Mean1, Mean and finally Ard Grad for each dance.
Where there are more than eight in a competition and a dancer is placed first, the dancer then moves up a grade for that particular dance.
Dancers aged five and under are not graded.
Dancers aged six are only graded up to Primary.
Items such as dance shoes, socks, buckles, hair bands etc may be purchased from Mary and Garry Grantham at Aus Rince. Their stall can be located at all AIDA feiseanna.
