Catherine J Cosgriff SDCRG

Catherine is a qualified teacher, adjudicator and examiner of Irish dance with An Coimisuin le Rinci Gaelacha, an elected member of the Udaras, 2018 World Honoree and currently Vice President of An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha.

Catherine began Irish dance at the age of seven, and quickly discovered a passion for it. In 1965, she qualified as a TCRG (teacher) in Dublin, Ireland.

During her career as a dancer, she competed in feiseanna in Australia, Ireland and the USA. Catherine held the title of Australian Champion on two occasions, and was runner-up in the Cross Channel Championships at Feis Maitiu in Dublin.

As an adjudicator, Catherine is closely involved with feiseanna in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Ireland. As an examiner with An Coimisiun le Rince Gaelacha, Catherine has officiated at examinations in Ireland, England, New  Zealand, the USA and Australia.

At the 2007 World Championships in Glasgow, Catherine was honored with a Gradam Award – an acknowledgement of a long and outstanding contribution to Irish Dancing.

In 2018 Catherine was acknowledged by An Coimisiun le Rince Gaelacha as World Honoree at the World Championships held at Easter in Glasgow.

Maggie Gaffney ADCRG

Maggie is a former pupil of the Cosgriff School and held both State and National titles in solo and team dancing. She was also a member of the Cosgriff Senior ceili team placed 7th at the World Championships in Galway.

Maggie qualified as a teacher in 2010 and began teaching in the Cosgriff school in January 2012.

In 2013 Maggie gained her qualification as an ADCRG.

Meagan Carrington TCRG

Meagan is a former pupil of the Cosgriff School and danced in solo and winning teams over a period of 25 years. Meagan qualified as a TCRG in October 2022 and commenced teaching in the Cosgriff School in January 2023.
